For years, we’ve traveled a lot as a family.

We’ve stayed on yachts.
We’ve rented villas and apartments.
We’ve booked five-star hotels.

And honestly?
All of them have their advantages. And all of them have their frustrations.

For a long time, we never questioned it. It was just “how travel works.”

Until something started bothering me.

The Moment We Looked at Our Own Apartment Differently

When we finished furnishing our apartment in Bovec, we were proud of it.
It was beautifully done. Spacious. Warm. Designed with care.

And yet, the idea of just listing it online and renting it out “like everyone else” felt… wrong.

It felt too small for what it could be.

At first, I’ll admit, the thinking was practical:
How can we position this differently?
How can it command a higher price than similar apartments?

But very quickly, that question evolved into something else:

How do we upgrade the entire experience?

Around that time, a friend of mine who runs a deluxe experience agency said something that stayed with me.

“People are desperate to arrive somewhere and have someone simply take over.
They don’t want to think. They want to feel safe. They want to say — ‘Here. You know what I like. Take care of everything.’”

That was the first lightbulb.

What I Love (and Hate) About Hotels and Apartments

I started reflecting honestly.

In hotels, I love certain things.

I love that someone cleans the room every day.
I love that I can sit down for breakfast, eat, get up — and someone else takes care of the mess.
There is comfort in that.

But I don’t love the mass.

The breakfast noise.
Waiting for a table in a five-star hotel.
Crowded pools.
Artificial environments optimized to extract maximum revenue from maximum occupancy.

You’re comfortable.
But you’re also one of many.

Apartments are the opposite.

I love the space.
I love that for half the price of a luxury hotel room, you get double or triple the size.
You have privacy. You feel more local.

But then reality hits.

Key boxes.
Groceries.
Cleaning.
Planning.
Researching.
“Where should we go?”
“Are we missing something better?”

Instead of resting, you’re organizing.

And if you’re someone who values time — that friction matters.

The Lesson from Yachting

For over 20 years, we’ve been running a premium yachting company.

In that world, we learned something fundamental:

The size of the yacht doesn’t determine how good your vacation is.

We’ve seen guests on 30-meter yachts have a better time than others on 45-meter superyachts.

The difference?

The crew.
The organization.
The anticipation.

On yachts, we ask guests in advance:

  • What do you like to eat?
  • Any allergies?
  • Do you want to party?
  • Do you want silence?
  • Active days or slow days?
  • Birthdays? Surprises? Massages? Fireworks?

We collect everything through a detailed preference list.
We communicate it precisely to the crew.

And when guests arrive — it’s seamless.

Everything flows.
They don’t manage. They enjoy.

And they leave unbelievably happy.

That model has been tested and refined for two decades.

And suddenly it clicked.

What If We Applied That Model on Land?

What if you could take:

  • The space and privacy of an apartment,
  • The daily cleaning and breakfast comfort of a hotel,
  • The personalized planning of a superyacht,
  • And place it in one of the most beautiful natural environments in Europe?

What if you arrived in Bovec and:

  • A real person welcomed you.
  • The fridge was already filled.
  • Your seven-day plan was prepared around your family.
  • Breakfast arrived at 8:30.
  • At 10:00, someone picked you up for rafting.
  • Lunch was arranged.
  • In the afternoon, you had a tee time ready at the golf course.
  • Dinner reservations were handled.
  • And in the evening, you sat quietly in your private jacuzzi, knowing tomorrow was already taken care of.

No key box.
No chaos.
No “let’s Google what to do.”

Just flow.

That was the moment Reset In Peace was born.

Why Bovec?

Bovec wasn’t random.

We spend a lot of time there. We fell in love with it.

The Soča River is unlike almost anything else in Europe.
The scale of the mountains.
The clean air.
The silence.

But equally important were the people.

We met Ines and Peter — locals who understand the region deeply and share our standards of service and integrity.

Bovec has the perfect combination:

Natural beauty.
Authentic local life.
Outdoor experiences.
And the scale to keep things personal.

If this model works here — it can work anywhere.

This Isn’t a Guess

There was no fear in building this.

Because we didn’t invent something new from scratch.

We transferred a proven operational model from yachting to land-based hospitality.

The difference is simply context.

Instead of a yacht as the base, it’s a private alpine apartment.
Instead of a captain and crew, it’s a trusted local hosting network.

The philosophy is identical:

Anticipation.
Preparation.
Personalization.
Care.

What Reset In Peace Really Is

Reset In Peace isn’t just an apartment rental.

And it’s not just about luxury.

It’s about how people actually want to travel today.

They want:

  • Privacy.
  • Space.
  • Authentic local experiences.
  • Someone responsible on the other side.
  • To feel safe.
  • To feel understood.
  • To feel taken care of.

Not as a number.

As a person.

This is just the beginning.

Bovec is our first step.
The long-term vision is far bigger — bringing this hosted, friction-free model to the best private properties across Slovenia, Croatia and beyond.

But every idea starts somewhere.

And for us, it started with one simple realization:

If you remove friction from travel, you don’t just improve vacations.

You transform them.
